BUCKINGHAMSHIRE CULTURE
As Creative Associate for Culture I devised and curated the first season of STORIES, weaving together stories of people, places, histories and future dreams to celebrate unique places and moments across the county.
The pilot season includes:
Fireside
Three outdoor performances of Nikki & JD and Lost Dog’s Fireside in outstanding natural sites at Downley Common, Wendover Woods and Buckingham
The performances are complemented by commissions from local storytellers, workshops and music events.
Fireside dates

Village
A commission from choreographer Theo Clinkard and photographer Camilla Greenwell to create panoramic images, inspired by village scenes of Pieter Breughel, in Burnham, Brill and Fairford Leys. Each image is created with over 100 local people. The photographs are complemented by commissions from Costa Prize award winner Claire Fuller, writer Will Burns and children’s author Ruth Quayle.
Archive Stories
Residencies and commissions for five disabled artists to explore the National Paralympic Heritage Trust Archive and the National Disability Arts Collection & Archive and create new works in response. Led by Scottish writer, poet and spoken word artist Ellen Renton, the collective includes Arden Fitzroy, Guy Morris, Jessica Starns and Noor-e-Sehar Ali.
The residencies will lead to a exhibition and live event later in the year.
